MealFlow

Cooking videos, turned into recipes

You find a recipe in a video. Forty seconds later it is gone, and you are scrubbing back and forth trying to catch how much flour went in.

MealFlow reads the video for you. Screen-record it, hand the file over, and get back the ingredients with amounts — as something you can put on a week's plan, take to the shop, and count in your day.

The Android app is not published yet. This page will link to it when it is.

How it works

You record it, we never download it
MealFlow never fetches anything from TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. You supply the recording. That keeps it lawful, and it is the reason the same thing works on every platform rather than breaking whenever one of them changes.
The video is read on your phone
Your device picks the handful of frames that actually show something new — sharp, and different from each other. Only those few images are sent to be read, and they are dropped again as soon as the answer comes back. The video file itself never leaves your phone.
Numbers come from a real table, not from a model
Calories, protein, vitamins and prices are worked out from a curated ingredient database. The model is asked for ingredients and amounts, and is explicitly forbidden from producing nutrition figures. A plausible-looking calorie count that nobody can trace is worse than no calorie count at all.
Unknown stays unknown
If we have no vitamin C figure for an ingredient, the total says "3 of 6 ingredients with data" — not "0 mg". If we have no price for your country, it says the price is unknown. Zero is a measurement, not a shrug.

What it does once the recipe is in

All four work offline, without an account, and are unlimited on every plan. An account is only needed to read a video or use the shared recipe database.

What it costs

Free: three video analyses to try it with, and everything above, forever.

Pro (€3.99/month, €39.99/year): 40 analyses a month, no ads, and posting to the shared recipe database.

Max (€8.99/month, €89.99/year): 200 analyses a month.

Reading the shared database is free on every plan — a recipe somebody has already read costs you nothing to take, which is rather the point of it.

Where your data is

Your plan, tracker, shopping list, pantry and your own recipes are stored on your device and are not sent anywhere. What leaves it: the few frames of a video while they are being read, and a recipe you explicitly choose to share.

The privacy policy says exactly what happens, in detail.
